Here's JACK's branding story...
The pioneer JACK-FM station broke ground in Vancouver, Canada in December of 2002. It's loyal listeners catapulted the station to number one in the adult ratings overnight.
Although the initial product design was clearly novel (a 1200 song library spanning 4 decades, packaged with a playful and campy attitude), it became obvious that a deeper chord had been struck.
In 2003, Pat Bohn (Canadian-based Bohn & Associates Media Inc.) and Garry Wall (American-based Wall Media) agreed to license the JACK-FM brand in America and together formed SparkNet Communications LP.
In March of 2004, the first ever American JACK-FM was launched in Denver, Colorado. 104.3 JACK-FM was introduced to Chicago in June of 2005, and it's been making history ever since. It is the most unrivaled radio station in all of Chicagoland.
Today, JACK-FM has eight million weekly listeners across North America. SparkNet has licensed 39 U.S. markets and received trademarks in 49 countries worldwide. Later this summer, JACK-FM will launch in the U.K. and is engaged in partnership negotiations in four other European markets.
